    Nasty Looking Wounds

Had a small one at the end of June with similar wounds to both flanks, no otters about on that stretch and definately no cats, no idea what caused the damage which was more like severe friction burns than claw or tooth marks

New line for the new season.

Will be using Sensor yet again, cheap and cheerfull and still had more than enough here to re-spool a couple of reels although was toying with the idea of GR60, been using it for Carp and have no problems with it whatsoever, might stick some on the spare spools just in case, also though about...

    River Wey, Addlestone, Cemex.

Have fished it the last couple of seasons, not an easy stretch by any means but makes the rewards much more satisfying, usually very quiet which is just how I like it Good luck if you decide to join next season

    Barbel on the Bread

Try Mosella Magic Bread, can hair rig it with a bait band and stays on a long time, was dubious at first but now converted

    Digital thermometer at Lidl

Colin Readings are accurate enough for me, just have to leave it a little while so the temperature can get through the silicone, handy ring on the end to attach a small lead to take it down

    Digital thermometer at Lidl

Got one of these last year, covered the sensor neatly in silicone sealant, small weight tied on as it's very light, works fine

Day Shelter / Umbrella with more protection

Another vote for the Korum Stormshield, had no problems with it even through some howling wind and rain, and as for weight have had no trouble carrying it in my rodbag Also got a Wychwood short session shelter, don't think they make them anymore, as with the Korum no problems with it but...

Bulk Bait Supplier in Middx / Surrey?

Neil, not sure of the name but as you turn up the flyover from charlton side its the immediate turning on the right (left if you're coming from shepperton studios direction) there's a garden centre/camping shop at the far end of the road, the pet place is near the top only tried it on the off...

    Sonubaits

Thanks Stuart, I've been using the Hinders ones and a mate got some of the Sonubaits ones, I couldn't see any difference visually but as you say it may be an ingredient thing, I wasn't going to do the blindfold taste test ;)

    Sonubaits

Are the Sonubaits pellets the same as Hinders Elips?

    Sonubaits

Been using the paste for some time and while it is very oily i havent had the separation thing happen, could this be caused by standing too long do you think? also find it easy to mold onto hookbaits, i like it's sticky consistancy
