Go on, how many? 😂
I think I am just about ok but bordering on a problem. I could get rid of a handful of rods I reckon and I might do, although not keen to make any rash decisions as not doubt would lose money on them.
Someone asked why I didn't go sea fishing the other day, there's no way...
I've never had any problems with it and use it in 3,4 and 6lbs.
The talk of the drennan camo xt and the gardener hydroFLO has got me wondering though, aside from the spools what are those two lines offering that the sensor doesn't?
I haven't any experience of the above but I'd be tempted to search out a second hand pair of the older Daiwa Powermesh. Like you I wouldn't fancy the seaguides and I've just always liked those older Powermeshs.
That was it Joe, thank you. Must be 10 years since I went but it had a nice feel to it in the mid winter, I remember having a 4lb ish chub on bread and that being my only bite of the day.
Good evening all
I would like to go for a days trotting on the Hampshire Avon with my dad at some point.
Please could someone be kind enough to recommend a day ticket stretch that has reasonable access for someone with creaky knees and somewhere that would make us feel like we'd come to...
I lost what I'm 99% sure was a massive barbel on the Thames, 14 years ago in September. Not sure I'll ever get over that unless I catch the barbel of a lifetime.
You’ll probably want the ratchet on when mucking about with your hookbait or something. When playing a fish you’ll be relying on your thumb for tension so the ratchet, for me anyway, is irrelevant for that bit.
This is just the start 😈😂
Also, it's through actioned so not what you're after but I've got these in 2.25lb 12ft, http://www.dlst.co.uk/specialists2.htm. They're not top heavy at all, more nicely balanced than my 12ft 1.75lb chimera I think (although I'm not complaining about that). I can...
I can't speak for barbel rods as I've been using the same rod (or variation of) for 14 years. I love the action and as yet haven't come across anything that would make me want to swap.
I thought I would upgrade my carp rods a few years back and went from something cheap and cheerful (Darent...
I'd also third what Richard said and second what Alan said. It's so easy to decide what you think you will like by spending hours oogling on the internet, to then completely change your mind within a few sessions on the bank (guilty).
This said, I'll give my two pennies worth anyway. If I had...
I'd like to read a Jason Hayward book.
I've got Carpers Path by Dave Little coming tomorrow and am looking forward to that. I've also just blagged a borrow of the first Mike Wilmott book which I've noticed a few people have listed.
You don’t need to pay more than £30 for the Terry Hearn books or Forgotten Chapters.
I tried to sell Channel Zander on here a while back for less than that and no one wanted it. Also sold one of the Terry Lampard books for £45 on here I think.
