As you say Robert, otters have always been on the Stour but were NEVER seen swimming past people without fear in the middle of the day and NEVER in the numbers now being seen.
Once again wrong Damian, what you should have said is the ONLY barbel you heard of from the Ivel were big ones the small ones weren't reported same as on nearly all other rivers. I fished the Ivel , you didn't but once again you appear to be the expert on these things.
Just to clarify common sense does prevail regarding the 15 minutes rule, we have no issues with barbel being retained for longer to recover and the bailiffs are aware of this. We DO have issues with barbel being retained for over an hour until someone arrives to photograph it, it is the clubs...
