    New record

The good thing is at least it has been caught from a river that has been named , better than the "secrecy" surrounding the present record which as far as I am aware is the only british record that has been accepted without the venue being released. I know where it came from as I assume most...

    Your angling journey.

I started when I was about 6 (a long time ago) on the mill lodges around Manchester fishing for goldfish with my mother keeping an eye out for the keeper.

    Drennan Twistlock Handle ...again !!!

I have 2, 1 is about 15 years old the other about 10, never had any trouble with them and never cleaned them, the only thing I do is if they aren't being used for a period of time loosen them. A lot of tackle shops have spares which Drennan gave them when people were having trouble with the...

    Catching at any cost

Believe me this is a particular stretch of the lea where anglers arrive early and wait for the opening time to fish, having lived on the side of the lea I know it is a one off area. I had a couple of friends join but left after a year as shall we say it was chaotic. The fish have been there for...

    Torrix or hi s rods

Agree regarding the butt Richard but if you will look someone above posted " quite tippy with almost rigid butt sections."

    Torrix or hi s rods

As people say this is subjective to different opinions the one thing I will say is that the Torrix 1.75/2.0 is DEFINITELY NOT TIPPY and has plenty of power towards the butt.

    Torrix or hi s rods

Mine share the same butt section as well.

    Torrix or hi s rods

I have the Torrix 1.75 and 2.00 and they do everything I need, built by Bob Gill and 15 years old. If there was something I deemed better I would buy it but for me there isn't. Can't compare with the Hi S as I haven't seen them.

    Vehicle of choice

Thanks for letting me know about the depreciation Cliff odd that you quoted my post but addressed your reply to Mike. Cars are my guilty pleasure and there are far worse things to spend your money on, each to their own .

    Vehicle of choice

Mine is a new BMW X5 M50i which gets me to the swim quickly but also has a luggage compartment cover that disappears into the boot floor at the press of a button - really handy.
