Yes I do use 4000d’s when I fish the nene on my lighter rods but I wouldn’t put them through the punishment of bigger weights

I’m they should be for the price not sure I would pay that for a reel when I could buy two 8000 of for virtually the same price as 1 reel

see if you can get a notts fed ticket they have several night fishing venues and no extra cost or notts aa extra for night permit though but you can fish opp bank to gunthorpe and night fishing here and another section

Well I have just won one on eBay for under £60 to use on wellington fishery on the nene

i use the rig shark lights but ordered mine from aliexpress and only paid about £3 each and bout a load of batterries they are great and you can see them for miles , ok for the trent or similar but i would not use them on a clear river close in as they are that bright

i reckon its a pike tube they used to all have these and use them at adams mill for the big girls in there you could peg them out and leave them to recover

i did have an application for them once but i was told you have to live within something like 10 miles of hatfield and a proposer to stand a chance

looking for some diawa powermesh barbel rods 2.25 or 2.75 lb prefer the older type with proper eyes and pairs prefered but will take singles also , i am based in suffolk travel to peterborough to fish so may have to be willing to post if to far away . message me if prefered many thanks ray

I am quite surprised you say that as I have been out in some very heavy rain and mine are totally waterproof and don't leak at all

so is there any difference in the blanks between the carp and specialist/barbel apart from eye spacings

You can get decent cheap units on amazon and you will omly need a basic one for bait I buy a couple of kilos of boilies at the begin of the season and do parcels of 15 baits which is enough for a days fishing You can buy rolls or bags on ebay
