Not superimposed,.. just lucky to live in a wildlife corridor. I’ve taken literally thousands of fox images these past few years along both Stour and Avon as well as videos ,… pity we can’t put videos up on here.🙂🦊
Ha,.. there’s a couple of regular fox visitors that don’t seem to mind acting as props for my photos Dave. I wouldn’t say they were tame, they just seem to accept my presence but no one else’s. I do give them a few dog biscuits ( kibble) as a reward but they seem to prefer hinders elips pellets!
I couldn’t justify spending that amount of dosh on a single angling item tbh, although fishing gear is cheap compared with my other love ( photography).
I do have a Richard Carter Aerial Perfection cp ,.. but that was a gift from back in ‘97 from my old club,.. lovely reel but I wouldn’t pay...
A rare winter glimpse of my platform just emerging from high water a couple of weeks ago one frosty morning taken on the phone . There’s currently just over a metre of Stour coloured water over it today which seems to be the norm.
I am G.,… Silstar for general trotting , GR 60 for barbel.
It was a last minute decision the night before to respool with 100mtrs. When I looked in my line store cupboard I’d not restocked with Silstar and only had an old spool of DFF besides shed loads of 12lb GR.
O/T. I’m surprised the Hardy...
I’ve used my line dispenser for donkeys years,… it’s permanently in place at one end of the long garage. I knocked it up in my old engineering workshop. I suspected at the time that I hadn’t put enough tension on the spool when loading the pin. The line isn’t as bad as it looks,… I grabbed this...
Just an aside regarding the twist lock.
After trying all the tricks to prolong the life of the expanding collet I phoned Nigel G. at Davis Tackle who kindly offered to replace it free of charge. I was well chuffed when driving home from Christchurch until a flash of ‘lightning’ made my heart...
Not really any help Kevin,.. but just to say I similar problems just over a week ago when long trotting the Hampshire Avon from a punt. I very rarely load a trotting pin with more than 60/70 yards of line, but because I’d knew that I could possibly be trotting 50 yards that day I respooled with...
Yes, I’m very fortunate Graham,.. after spending all my working life in windowless factories I really do appreciate the view.
Sometimes dreams come true.🙂
I think the key is to have guaranteed rights of way of x amount width from the bank regardless of river height or erosion.
The problem often arises when a stock fence has become a barrier due to erosion and it impedes on one’s legal right of riverbank access. Fishing rights freehold wouldn’t...
Interesting topic regarding riparian fishing rights. Neil M. covered most of the bases of a subject that we’ve both chatted to each other about on the bank.
Many folk don’t realise that fishing rights can be separate freeholds ,.. and as has been mentioned, many solicitors fail to do their job...
