Some of my best days fishing both D.Stour and HAvon for barbel have been with the float. Admittedly this was back when the barbel population of both rivers was higher than present day.
If I was trotting ( trundling) meat I would fish over depth,… hold the float back probably using a 5ssg loafer...
Used Trev’s shop a lot in the early 80’s,.. still got the catalogues somewhere.
One of the best sources for rod building gear back in the day.
Cheaper South Korean rods put an end to my rod building days but I still ordered pike gear from The Tackle Shop when N.F took over,…. I remember the shop...

I’ve also a Nikon d7500 which I like for general photography.🙂📸

It reminded me of one of my favourite...
Hi Terry,... I’m a great believer in ‘repair rather than bin’ but I suspect the bag has come to the end of its service,... it’s been a good buy but it’s probably time to replace it.
Looking for a new ruckbag approximately 40/50 litres capacity to replace my old Korum bag which has lasted for years but the main compartment zip has busted.
Im not to bothered about bank stick side holders gimmicks. I’d rather have straps and clips for an unhooking mat etc.
Waterproof base...
