    River Nene Decimation

It sounds like P&DAA have some very intelligent and committed people dealing with this. I wish them well and hope that their potential legal action against the EA is a runner.

What the hell is wrong with people 😡😡

Many years ago I used to take clients for a days hawking, with Harris Hawks. The days would comprise half a day in woodland, hunting pheasants, and half a day in the fields, hunting rabbits. The days were absolutely magical and if you ever get the chance, I would unreservedly recommend it.

Are we losing our Sixth Sense?

I don't disagree with what you say but what about those occasions where the voices tell you to cast into a swim or a spot that you would never usually look twice at, so you do and you catch pretty much instantly? Isn't that the opposite of confirmation bias?

    Flavouring bait....

The book is Fantastic Feeder Fishing - cracking book but have a pen and paper next to you when you read it because otherwise you get idea overload. Frank Warwick's Every Bit of Blue is another good read in that respect.

    Lidl garlic sausage

Hi Graham, I agree that the last thing we need is yet another do fish feel pain discussion but when I am asked how I would like it if a hook "was being yanked into your mouth" I felt it inappropriate not to answer. All I said at the outset was that I also used size 2 hooks occasionally. Ian...

    Lidl garlic sausage

Well, I'm not sure where to start here? Yes, I would have issues if a hook was yanked into my mouth but I'd struggle even more with the breathing underwater thing because - and I suspect you already know this - I am not a barbel. If you have ever caught a barbel you will notice that it pulls...
