Agreed. My 4500Bs are on my flood rods for heavy work in the near margin to mid river, and occasionally make it on to my heavier river piking set up. SS2600's on my other 2 sets of barbel rods for the tidal Trent.

I don't like quivers either, never have. Rods in hand with net and banksticks, and a Thinking Anglers multi strap if more than 1 item of each!

Agree, love mine. From dace and bleak, to 20+lb pike, it's done me proud.

The only bait i've found that keeps the mittens away, seems to keep the carp and barbel away too!
