If you don't fancy replacing the connectors, you can remove the corrosion by sprinkling baking powder on the affected area then dabbling the baking powder with a cotton bud tip dipped in lemon juice or vinegar, then clear it off with an old toothbrush. It does work! I did it with a TV remote...

One of the bonuses of the stretch is a large part of it is on the outside of the bend, so the flow and depth of water is on that side, rather than Pixham's opposite. It' a pity they lost the middle bit, and the bottom end doesn't really get fished.

Were you using Kranks on your previous rigs Michael? The curved shank of the Krank is already giving you an aggressive hook shape, even tied with a normal knotless knot. If you're not comfortable with the kd rig, you could always add a kicker/rig aligner to your normal knotless knot to improve...
