I have booked at stay at the Red Lion later this year and am planning to give trotting a go for the first time as I usually only leger.
Any advice especially in respect of terminal tackle and baits would be appreciated.
I normally use 10-12lb line for legering but would 6-8lb be in the right...

I went for a Powermesh 14ft as the forum consensus seemed to favour that length.

I am venturing back on the Wye after an absence for a few years and wondered how productive the Moccas stretch is these days.
I have only fished close to Ross and and Lucksall before but always picked up a few fish at these locations.
Any insights would be welcomed.

Two/three alarms required which must have facility to alter sensitivity settings.
Something along the lines of the Fox SX or MX+ or similar would be ideal.
