    Rod for grayling

I know it’s all about taste and preference, but I’d have thought a waggler rod wouldn’t be the right sort of action for trotting for grayling.

    Rod for grayling

Another vote for the 13'6" Sphere, Steven. They certainly surface more frequently than the 15'6" (much to my enduring chagrin), so worth keeping your powder dry and waiting on one (and they are very, very good) :)👍

Long float rods for big chub

The 13'er is 2mm tip ring, so I assume the same for the 14'er.

    What's this spike for please?

I’d guess it’s to help get in and out of steep, slippery swims Mike.

    Your angling journey.

Yeah, it’s from 1 Thessalonians 4:11 in the King James translation: “Study ye to be quiet…”

    Your angling journey.

My angling adventure began on the south coast when I was in my early teens. My family had relocated from Manchester for my step-dad’s work, and a friend at secondary school had some basic beach-casting gear. We spent hours on the beach without catching, but it was fun. Drennan Twistlock Handle ...again !!!

Once clean and dried, I spray a bit of TF2 spray on a cloth and wipe over the retractable section. Keeps it nice and smooth running. Would probably work for the collet too.

I feel fairly sure that the Wharfe has the potential to produce some really nice fish, but not if Y******** Water keep screwing it over with sewage

    Warm fishing jackets & trousers

I’ve mentioned this elsewhere, but the prologic coat with bib n brace is perfect. Yesterday I stood for four hours in the Wharfe with a Heat Holders thermal long sleeved top under my prologic coat and I was warm.

    Grayling

Almost embarrassed to post after Mr Jones’ heroics, but I braved the cold for a few hours this morning on the Wharfe. Enjoyed good sport for 13 grayling and one brown trout. Nothing big, but nice fishing all the same 😊 This was the second biggest…

Hi Robert, thanks for that but I already have one (hence the search for its longer relative). 👍🏻
