Very kind of you Alec, and although they sound great, I’m not quite reaching for the oars 😉

Thanks Kevin, I’d be willing to travel for a good one, but that’s a 450 mile round trip 😬

    SORTED! 11’ Torrix 1.75

Hi all, Looking for an 11’ Torrix 1.75 for small(er) river barbel fishing and/or rolling meat. Not fussy about fittings. Been doing my homework and think one of these would best suit my fishing contexts. Would be grateful for a PM if you think you have one you’d part with 👍🏻

**SOLD** Daiwa Spectron M2 13' Spliced Tip Float Rod

For sale is this rare Spectron M2 Spliced Tip float rod in excellent condition. It is the full 13' and the condition of the blank is excellent. Super-fast action and quick recovery as you'd expect from a spliced tip rod, but loads of power in the bottom two-thirds of the rod. Weighs in at 185g...

Calling all users of Ray Walton Rolling Pin Reel!!

Hi David, there is a thread somewhere in the deep, dark recesses of this forum where Ray himself says that you don't need to push the button when returning the spool.

Calling all users of Ray Walton Rolling Pin Reel!!

Thanks chaps, I'd be using braid, and filling right to the edge of the spool as Ray does- basically like a massive fixed spool.

Calling all users of Ray Walton Rolling Pin Reel!!

Hi chaps, I'm interested to how secure the above reel is when in casting position. Does it clip in place? If not, does it maintain that position fairly well? My reason for asking is that I am considering trying one out for pike fishing. My theory is that this reel in its casting position...

    Wanted narrow drum Centrepin..

I’m not taking the mickey David, nor am I trying to be an authority and have no idea why you’d think so. If you actually want an Aerial Match then fair play to you, but I thought (possibly mistakenly) that you meant a Match Aerial.

    Wanted narrow drum Centrepin..

Whoah, sorry David. No offence intended! I’m just aware that there’s a difference that’s all.

    Wanted narrow drum Centrepin..

Just to be clear David, do you mean “Aerial Match” or “Match Aerial”? The former is very rare and extremely expensive.
