I used to give more info about the warks avon but after reporting a large fish (for that river) I was criticized for not being a local angler. Since then I report conditions as I see fit and fish as splashers(less than 10lb) or barbel or fish (greater than 10 lb)
I now won't help more than that...

On a more serious note. A friend used to belong to Twyford. He lapsed for one year and was told not to reapply as he was a previous(lapsed) member, Can he now reapply?
I was temped by the kid's smile, but the captor of the Ivel fish looks delighted as he should be and has probably had to work hard for the fish. He knows what he has got in his hands and yes I'm jealous.

I have also found the same thing regarding big barbel, (but have not had the same number of 14 +fish)
To get a trend of rising/falling...
Quite simple no correlation with any other temperature taken by other anglers.
this is needed for the trend to be consistent.

Has anyone reviewed/compared digital thermometers? I used to use a 'Testo' which was reasonably accurate, but after this expired tried a Rueben Heaton which is rubbish. Any clues before I waste more money. I don;t want to use a glass thermometer as (1) they are too fragile. (2)they are...
I just soak mine. It seems to work no problem.
Further to adding bi carb when cooking, Washing soda works a lot better to turn hemp black. It also turns tares a much darker shade than bicarb and the tares are nice and soft. Wash before use as it feels slimy because it's alkaline.
