Kingfisher Chub Specialist Rod - Peregrine Build - SOLD

Pm sent yeah agree lovely rod…new one is still in planning but thinking 11ft Avon with two tips, one solid tip 1.25Ib and one with spliced quiver but every time I chat it over with someone the spec changes slightly! Basically I have too many chub rods and want to create one dedicated tool to...

Kingfisher Chub Specialist Rod - Peregrine Build - SOLD

Gotta admit I’m loathe to let it go but it’s an extravagance I can forego if it helps fund a new rod

Kingfisher Chub Specialist Rod - Peregrine Build - SOLD

I bought this early summer from Rob Francis on here, only used twice since getting it. It’s a lovely action rod and perfect for touch legering, only reason I’ve decided to part with it is I’m trying to fund a bespoke Mark Tunley Chub rod. I paired it with a Youngs river specialist pin (most...

    Small leads and short hooklinks

I mostly use 18-24”….never seen the need to go longer in the situations I fish, and if crayfish are being a pain I’ll drop down to 6/8” and a hard hookbait which they get in a tangle less than longer links and you can easily see their little taps in the rod…..and when they stop it’s twitchy bum...

    Decent roving umbrella recommendations please?

The supa lite river brolly has been discontinued already….IMO I don’t agree with the comments about being heavy so maybe talking about different models but the one I have is the lightest brolly I’ve ever owned, and I’ve been through a few. Not seen the graphite model but I think they have just...

    Decent roving umbrella recommendations please?

I got one when they first came out and didn’t like it initially…but continued to use it and now think it’s great. Quality item that’s never leaked, small and light to carry compare to other shelters and provides superb cover on sloping banks or tight little swims

Maggot feeder is great in cooler months when the minnows have gone into hiding….and don’t discount caster and hemp, expensive but superb tactic

    Book inspiration

It’s a great book, much of it may be lost on those who don’t know the Ouse stretches written about but for those that do it’s a lovely reminisce
