Drennan used to do something similar…a stem with interchangeable screw on weights. I think a simple nylon link with shot and/or putty is simple…or for bigger leads a quick change clip

My advice Russ would be to not rush into a purchase without being 100% sure of your needs. From another post of yours I think you have some good gear that will catch you fish…so spend a season using the gear on the rivers you will target and work out what you think their weaknesses are (if any)...
