With all due respect, they can only do as much as funds allow, everything costs money. Maybe if they had more members, they could achieve much more. It only costs £3 a month to be a member, peanuts, a no brainer for me, so i,ll just carry on. Anything they do must be better than nothing.

At one time, the Penn Slammers were the " IN " thing, great as they were, they soon fell out of favour, as they had no backwind, they were intended for sea anglers i believe. I know a few on here bought them.

My choice, Pallatrax Gripz, the follow on from Pallatrax "the hook". Superb hooks, no barb, ridges instead, so comply with fishery rules. Super strong, and mega sharp. 👍...

Recently bought a 2.75lb Korum flood water rod, not tried it yet, hopefully, the eyes are up to scratch, but they do appear very thin and light weight. 🤷‍♂️
