    Have a look at a Subaru Forester. You get the load space, 4x4 and good ground clearance. I've not owned a Forester, but had three Legacy models each of which I covered over 100k miles without missing a beat. The permanent four wheel drive system very impressive.

    Gliding was my main pastime for over twenty years. On many occasions you would be joined by buzzards when thermalling. I think they were just curious of this big white bird soaring in their territory. They would get really close sometimes, fantastic to watch.

    Tim, if you go into an art supply shop, like hobbycraft, they with have fold up wallets for storing artists brushes. Each brush (float) pushes into a compartment and then the whole thing either folds up or rolls up.
