As Richard said. It is well padded, I actually sit on it (when it is dry of course) when I am travelling light. I also have the drennan specimen mat, but it’s bulky and I don’t think it is thicker than Korum mat.

My gudgeon feeder rod is a 10ft free spirit ctx feederlite sl, comes with 0.25oz glass tip. Very nice rod, but I hate the handle, maybe at some point I will have it rebuilt to my spec.
