You are never going to find a rod that is great for roach and barbel.
You need to decide what you are fishing for Lee. If I am fishing for roach Acolyte Ultra, chub Acolyte plus, barbel Acolyte Specimen.
Just piggy-backing off this thread, I have a number of isotopes but the clear rubber "tubing" that they fit into before being pushed onto an adaptor has either split or been attacked by mice.
Can anybody recommend a specific product that I can buy to replace these perished rubber sleeves?

Acolytes are fantastic rods, I love 'em but it's almost an occupational hazard that you will break the tips. Think I'm on my third for the Ultra.
The last tip broke trying to cast a big waggler into a head wind

Thanks Jim, strong hook but not got the beak point.
Used them in the past but on the Hants Avon/Dorset Stour found they needed replacing continually due to the gravel, "dinking" the point.

Size ideally 10.
A real hook and hold type hook.
