Try a rolled up sock in your instep, it's a bit fiddly getting your sock on, but errindoors. should help.

I think I would lean towards an OC ,D or Thunnus baitrunner, in the 6000 size... or depending on your distances regarding lake work, even the 5500 medium baitrunner.
But for me, up to 2lb test a 4000 would be perfect for the river. But not for distance work on lakes, so a bit of a conundrum...
Hi Gavin, I had one 2 seasons ago and didn't really get on with it, it gets harder to draw the string after a few uses , and also let's water in via the holes ....
My favourite by far too is the 11ft 2lb Torrix, "weirdly wonderful ". Is probably the most honest description I've heard.

I thought, they would have introduced a CI4 plus by now Richard.. I hope you're right, but it seems that the ci4 are just not available in the UK or most of Europe anymore , in the smaller sizes liked by UK anglers .

Hi does anybody have any experience fitting gomexus power knobs to the 6000thunnus.
I know they don't fit on the 4000 as I've tried, needs a load of washers or something 🤷.
But I have 4 6000s coming from the land of ozz.
There only 166 each plus a bribe to ship to the UK.
