    Braid hooklength.

Flowing water?, if so I won't use uncoated unless I knew my rig had settled perfectly?. Un coated braid, will flutter in the flow and has a mind of its own, not really suited to river work. I fish the trent and it's quite varied, deep glides, shallow riffles, it has it all! Imo it's...

Advice needed for custom power float rod

That's the same guide that I'm going to put on mine , wow I knew the minimas were very strong, but didn't realize they were that hard. Im thinking of a 12 set guide on 15ft as it's an out and out big fish rod. What are your thoughts Ralph?

Advice needed for custom power float rod

I've gone for the 16mm high stand off minina but ring , at 20 mm it's huge , and stands off the rod a massive 55mm I think it looks a bit flimsy personally and prone to getting caught, especially by my clumsy self 😆. It would only take a few straightens after getting caught before it snapped!.

Advice needed for custom power float rod

Evening Etienne, my rod builder should receive the blank this week, and like yourself am deciding on guides and seat etc. For me it's definitely minima high stand off guides, they are 30 percent lighter than ceramic guides and extremely strong , even unbreakable in normal use. This is a must on...

Which reel seat for the pin?.

Hi all. I'm in cahoots with my rod builder regarding the 15ft mk2 Harrison stepped up float rod and was wondering which reel seat would work best for, 80 percent fixed spool work, and 20 percent pin work. Thanks to all for any information in advance...
