    Isoblob isotope replacement

Thanks for the info Bob, very useful. I'll let you know how I get on. Sounds like I'm best to wait until after the 16th just in case things don't go to plan.

    Isoblob isotope replacement

Yes, fingers crossed @Bob Gill will be along with some advice for me. I figured I'd post rather than trouble Bob directly in case any one else had been in the same pickle. Rich are you still doing reel repairs? I have a Adcock Stanton that could do with a new bearing.

God knows how, but somehow I've gone and cracked the isotope on my ipower. Has anyone got any tips on how best to remove and replace it.

    Perch Rods

I came across a cheap second hand 11ft Acolyte carp waggler yesterday and couldn't resist so I now have a perch option. It should work quite well I think and could double for trotting for chub on smaller rivers. I'm still tempted with a Darent valley .75lb so I have a second rod. Thanks for all...

Is it just the standard one you use for repairs Neil?

    Recommended footwear

They are good Rich as are the grubs version which you can usually can usually pick up a little cheaper. I get through them quickly walking the dog, they usually start to perish after a year or so. Hence the move to jack pyke this time.

    Recommended footwear

Jack Pyke ankle wellies are really good for spring / autumn and very cost effective

    Flask recs please

Dammit I've gone and ordered a new flask that I didn't even suspect that I needed before reading this thread. Still at least it's cheaper than most of the other purchases I've made following late night bfw visits.

    Waterproof Recommendations

I find goretex loses it waterproofing pretty quickly and wets out. You can reproof but it never seems to last as well and is pretty pricey reproofing all tge time. I switched to Paramo kit a good few years back and I've been really pleased with it. It's a little warmer than goretex which works...

    Pellet users

Has anyone else noticed that 1kg bags of pellets have become 900g but mysteriously the price has stayed the same. Shrink-flation I think they call it

    Hook Sharpener Recommendation Required Please

It's something I've been considering a lot recently. I think a file could be really useful when you are in the middle ground, not as sharp as it could be but not blunt enough to consider changing. I've been thinking one of these might be worth a try...
