    Good post Dave and I fully agree although both spools appear similar in looks the clutch on the D seems smoother. I didn't fiddle about with any of the spools to investigate the inners as it was hot, I had cba and I'm not one for messing...:D

    Screaming reels Peter I took the spools off both my 4000d and 4000oc and swapped them over, all my reels are attached to rods and set up, so I didn't do much more. The spools did fit and on the outer look exactly the same apart from the colour.

    Pellets I've always found Sonubaits Ellipse pellets very good....and at £3.99 per kg I don't find them to expensive.
