hi john, i use either the korda range or stealthskin which is my favourite on the right coloured bottom or weedy stretches as its imo a real life weedy green and also a lot thinner than most coated braids, all have good knot strength too:)
justin, if your riverbed is of the hard flinty type then ignore braid as its cuts too easiy on the flint, in this type of riverbed try a coated braid with just a couple on inches outer skin peeled back before the hook or stick with an xt mono (xt =usually means extra tough), this should give you...

Chris, why not ask the supplier who sold you the rod if he can get you another top explaining why you need it, the just fit a new top ring and have a more powerful alternative to your new top.

dave been there did that after using lake water for coffee at tri lakes in yorkshire:D:D sat in a bush most of the 3 days there, yep, came back with no hankis, no boxer and no t shirts:D:D:D:D

why not just take a bucket (lots of uses) a few thick rubbish bags kept in the car boot, even if theres a fair few people strolling the banks just find a private spot, bag over the bucket and there ya go, dont froget to tie the bag up tight lol
