    Pimp My Chair (Trakker Nano)?

If the bank ‘IS NOT’ flat you mean? I fish the Severn with notoriously steep banks but have always found a bit of ground that is flat enough to use it! You only need about a foot square area so there is always somewhere (even if you stamp a bit of flat ground). I’m 6’2” and its really comfy as...

    Pimp My Chair (Trakker Nano)?

Really annoying trend with chairs these days. Think they design them so that you’ve got head room in a bivvy but for anyone taller than a Christmas elf, you might as well sit on the floor. I find myself standing up most of the time, especially on the River but have ended up buying a Shakespeare...

    Photos of river scenes

So these shots are real?? I thought they were superimposed as every shot looks like a calendar picture! Almost too good to be true! If thats the case, how lucky you are!

How much are you prepared to spend…

Yes both 200’s. Loved it back in the day but found the traffic & state of the roads made it less enjoyable. You’ve got to thrash them everywhere to keep up nowadays. With no indicators & drum brakes it’s not much fun!

How much are you prepared to spend…

I’ve had loads of Lambrettas in my time (wish i’d kept some!) i wondered how you managed to get banned on an LD (wouldn’t be speed related!) until i realised you were 14 🤦🏼🤣

How much are you prepared to spend…

I ‘fish for everything’ so limit myself to a point as i have “far too much gear” (my wifes words). I spend £100-200 on rods & up to £150 on reels and dont feel as i am missing out on anything quality wise. I looked around a new carp water the other week trying to find out about it’s Perch...

    Rod for grayling

Agreed, the word ‘waggler’ would put me off tbf. The originals were classed as ‘float’ rods and had a very fine ‘spliced’(?) tip

    Rod for grayling

Have a look/feel Richard. Think you might be pleasantly surprised. Such a crisp feeling rod! On the strength of the float rod i also bought the 11’6” feeder rod which is probably the best tip rod for stillwater roach & bream there is! (IMHO of course!)

    Rod for grayling

No sorry, mine is 13’ float 3-10g about 6 years old now. They've just ‘upgraded’ them i see so not sure if the waggler rod is the same one? Noticed they do 13,14 &15 lengths tho. Not seen the new ones but imagine they are same/similar

    Rod for grayling

Nobody mentions the Preston Supera X range of rods for trotting? I sold my Acolyte Ultra as i found it too floppy with no backbone at all. Bought the 13’ Supera X (matched with the Centris 320 reel) and i find it the most balanced set up i’ve used by far. Gorgeous light rod (with a flat spot on...

    Who made this blank?

I had a pair of the 12ft Carbon Kevlar NW rodcraft rods for my big Bream fishing back in the late 80’s. A ceramic ring came out of the tip eye so i rang them in a panic and they told me to either post it to them or call in the factory at Middleton in Manchester. I drove down and they were great...

Just watched the video on that link. What a wrist action that guys got!! Never thought of fishing the far bank margins for Gonks! 🤣

    Your angling journey.

I started as most do, being taken by my dad. The night before, making bread paste & tying ‘casts’ which were carefully wrapped around carboard & placed in an empty tobacco tin was sometimes more exciting than the tiny Crucians we caught in the local pond but seeing the float go under had me...

    Korum Latitude 5000 x2

Bought these for my son when he started fishing to come Barbel fishing with me but he went down the Pike/Catfish path and only ever used them once. Mint condition & nice reels to be fair but surplus to requirements. Perfectly good reels for Barbel/Tench etc and a bargain at £60 posted if interested

    Neoprene Boots

‘Dirt Boot’ wellies are really good. I bought a pair about 10 years ago as i couldn’t afford the high end wellies ‘Grubs’ etc that i wanted at the time. I’ve used & abused them and they are still going strong! Well made, comfortable and have outlasted all my mates expensive wellies!
