Shimano Baitrunner Aero GT 3500 updates with photos and price!

As title. These are the oldest of the GT models, before the 5010,6010, 8010's. It's the smallest model, smaller spool and rotor although the bodies are the same size asbthe bigger versions. I have attached a photo of the spool alongside a 6010 so you can see the difference. £40 plus postage...

    Custom big river rods.

I spoke to Johnson Ross today and they are going to get back to me about ordering me a pair. Just reluctant to incase I don't like them, although that does seem unlikely.

    Custom big river rods.

Yeah I agree mate, hence me asking if anyone knows anywhere that stocks them. I've got lots of custom rods but all are carp rods apart from my favourite ever which I had built this summer, my 11ft 1.75lb Torrix so it's not the first time I've been down this route. I'd give anyone the same...

    Custom big river rods.

Does anyone know anywhere that stock the factory built Harrison Torrix 12ft 2.25lb? Johnson Ross, The Tackle box, Davies Angling stock all the Torrix specialist rods except that one.

    Youngs River Specialist Centrepin....

I'd not used a pin for 25 years but bought a River specialist to go on my 11ft 1.75lb Torrix. I'm not gonna be much use to you as I have nothing to compare it to but would echo what others say about the ratchet, it's extremely stiff but I spoke to Chris about this, it's so stiff I wanted to...

    Time of day

Can't beat day break for me. Being up the lake as it starts to get light and everything starts to wake up is what it's all about for me. Problem is my fishing, whilst I get plenty of time to go, is very limited middle of the day at the moment due to work and family commitments.

Rich, can you talk me through that whole tri pod set up please?

    Custom big river rods.

Cheers mate, I appreciate your advice and respect your opinion, although do t want to get involed in the rights and wrongs of sleeping whilst fishing. Sort of wish I had worded it different, have you ever been able to edit a post on here?. My point was more that I want to use more than one rod...

    Custom big river rods.

Thanks everyone that has commented. I should add, and not sure how well this will go down on here so please don't hate me for it, I want to use a pair, up the Thames, doing nights and using bite alarms. I know its not to everyone's taste but hear me out..... I'm a carp angler by nature been...

    Custom big river rods.

Thanks everyone, I've got an 11ft 1.75lb Torrix and multiple Torrix carp rods and love them all so pleased to hear the comments about the 12ft 2.25lb Torrix, I must have got it wrong or maybe thinking of a different blank. Will most likely get a pair. Thanks for the feedback.

    Custom big river rods.

Looking to get a pair or three custom rods built mainly to use on the Thames for Barbel. Would also be nice if they made lovely tench rods. My initial thoughts were 12ft 2.25lb Torrix but something tells me these aren't that highly regarded, pretty sure I've read that somewhere so any...

    Trotting for Barbel

Thanks, in terms of the set up I'll be using a 14ft Acolyte plus with a JW River specialist. I was always pretty decent at getting amongst the chub, quite often putting together a decent amount and some bigger ones too. We're going back a fair old years now but I used to go up with half a...

    Trotting for Barbel

Although new to fishing for barbel, being a carp angler for the last 25 years, I learnt to fish trotting a float on my local River Blackwater. Since giving up targeting carp and getting back on the river I've enjoyed my fishing more than I have for a long, long time. I'm on the Loddon and have...

    Drennan Specialist landing Net 32"

I've got the 32 inch TB net, bought it for barbel but it's far too shallow in my opinion, great for other species but not for barbel. Can anyone confirm that the 36 inch is deeper and hopefully by quite a bit? Cheers Martin
