Weed cutter with bank stick screw fitment

The is is the one I got in the end, dropped thru the letter box this morning.

    Angling crossroads.

Try to find stretches of rivers that have weekly club matches. You will find that they have secure wooden pegs and that most of the difficult pegs will be kept tidy / steps cut in to allow easy access for the match anglers. You’ll likely struggle to fish on a Saturday (matches) but if you’re...

Weed cutter with bank stick screw fitment

Thanks for the feedback all. I’ve gone with the Leeda one as it looks pretty solids

Weed cutter with bank stick screw fitment

Has anyone used this Dinsmore weed cutters at all please and can recommend them or any other brands ? Also, any idea if them come with a protective cover at all as don’t really fancy chopping a finger off whilst rooting around for one in my rod bag !!!

    Wanted Nash ultralite chair

Have a look at the Fox Duralite. No carry strap but can be easily clipped onto a rucksack.

Hinders of Swindon - great service

Yeah I had the same. Looks like they removed it when this offer is on. No biggy as £4 is pretty reasonable for delivery I think.

Hinders of Swindon - great service

Good stuff. Shame the “free delivery” offer wasn’t combined with the 15% discount.

Hinders of Swindon - great service

Their moulding machine broke and was not economical to repair or replace hence the revised barrel shape. Still the same recipe and still catches fish. Had all my chub / barbel on x2 superglued together on a hair the last few seasons. It’s the one bait I won’t leave home without.

    Solid pva bag fishing

I find them a faff especially as you have to perforate them otherwise they float to the surface and end up miles downstream. I personally stick with PVA mesh bags and / or a stringer (if using boilies).

    Making your own bait.

I’ve always thought green would be a decent colour for bait. I know 3FT do one but don’t know of many others.

    July Wye trip

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Stan please? I’ve tried to join the FaceBook group but my request never goes through. I’m booked on the W&U in Sept (Foy and Creel) for 3-days but we have a 4th day still free and looking to go somewhere different. Sorry for the thread hijack.

    Fishing a low stocked water

I primarily fish the Avon around Warwick, mainly because I don’t have much time on my hands and I can be on the bank within <15mins for a few hours fishing in the evening. I know it has declined in the last 6-years but it took me two years to get a book so I’m buggered if I’m not going to use...

    Making your own bait.

Hahah - they wouldn’t let me in either. For those that don’t know you can buy it from the BAF website and it’s well priced: https://www.britishaquafeeds.com/products/powders/base-mixes/tropamino-hmbb-basemix

    Making your own bait.

I’ve bought some BAF TropAmino HMBB Basemix and going to fish it on one stretch of the river this season with zero flavour to see how I get on. Historically I’ve always used a JB flavour with base mix so will interested to see how I get on. Have started the pre-baiting campaign already.

    Making your own bait.

Absolutely this. A barbel’s natural diet consists of slugs, worms, insect larvae and mussels. None of which give off a strong scent compared to flavours in home made bait. Also, remember what you smell through your nose is very different to how a fish smells. Their key trigger is amino acids...

    JB Taste F2 basemix

And me, just can’t justify the postage. I still use JB flavours but get base mix from BAF now.
