Try to find stretches of rivers that have weekly club matches.
You will find that they have secure wooden pegs and that most of the difficult pegs will be kept tidy / steps cut in to allow easy access for the match anglers.
You’ll likely struggle to fish on a Saturday (matches) but if you’re...
Has anyone used this Dinsmore weed cutters at all please and can recommend them or any other brands ?
Also, any idea if them come with a protective cover at all as don’t really fancy chopping a finger off whilst rooting around for one in my rod bag !!!
Their moulding machine broke and was not economical to repair or replace hence the revised barrel shape.
Still the same recipe and still catches fish.
Had all my chub / barbel on x2 superglued together on a hair the last few seasons. It’s the one bait I won’t leave home without.

I’ve bought some BAF TropAmino HMBB Basemix and going to fish it on one stretch of the river this season with zero flavour to see how I get on.
Historically I’ve always used a JB flavour with base mix so will interested to see how I get on.
Have started the pre-baiting campaign already.
Absolutely this.
A barbel’s natural diet consists of slugs, worms, insect larvae and mussels. None of which give off a strong scent compared to flavours in home made bait.
Also, remember what you smell through your nose is very different to how a fish smells. Their key trigger is amino acids...
