I fished opening day for a few hours and the rods haven’t been out since. The water is too low on the W.Avon with zero flow - it’s also too bloody hot for me to sit out in too !!! Am hoping to get out to the Wye next week (assuming it cools down) and will only float fish a well oxygenated stretch.

I don’t really fish the Leam, more the Avon and primarily at Barford (when there’s not a bloody match on). Used to fish Wasperton / Charlecotte a lot but they’ve gone downhill in the last two years. What about yourself ?

Yes there is a very big fish there. Came out twice last year. I fish MF at the weekends in the summer and it’s a nightmare - by 7pm on a Friday there must be x30 lines in the water. It’s no wonder not much comes out. Midweek or a Sunday is likely the best time to fish it. Not sure re Anchor...
