    Bought some of these off flea bay in a clearance sale and they look very good but my concern is to say they are sharp is an understatement but also leads me to wonder if they are maybe to sharp giving the gravel and boulders on the Trent possibly blunting the hook points,has anybody any feelings...

    I had a 13 foot shimano triple taper tip or ttt in the mid eighties lovely rod but if my memory serves me right lent itself to the waggler more than the stick float, I think I paid well over £100 for it gave it to my brother and think he still has it.

    just a catch up on this thread, the fox eos rods arrived on Wednesday morning and a big thanks to st Ives tackle for the excellent service, anyway they look to be identical to the royals with the rods being rung exactly the same but did remove the top rings and refitted with anti frap rings...

    What is the difference in specs to the shimano o.c and shimano D reels , I know that the OC stands for oceanic dont know what the D stands for , at the moment I use 5500 Lc xtb's so which size is more compatible in size to these reels the 6000 or 8000
