    PVA mesh

Hi Stephen, Plenty to be had in bulk from the internet, and it works out much cheaper, I bought some two seasons ago and still have plenty left, in fact I buy most of my terminal tackle in bulk, it saves running out and the struggle of going to tackle shops to find they don't have what you want...

British Canoeing launches its clear access charter.

Hi Guys, I have just watched all the videos, what a one sided and pretty picture they paint. Can you imagine loads of canoes on a shallow river whilst birds are breeding and fish are spawning, what about their statement saying they will keep the rivers clean of rubbish, I don't think so ! Can...

Drennan Series 7 Tench and Specimen float

Hi Terry I have a couple of these rods, I use them for fishing the stick float on the Stour at Throop for the Chub. The river here is not very wide and a hooked Chub over the 4lb mark finds it easy to head for a bankside snag, so these rods have the power to put a stop to the Chub making a...

    Spam alert !

Hi Guys, anyone who lives in the Christchurch area, don't bother to going into Home Bargains, all the hot and spicy Spam is no longer on the shelves, which reminds me, my throat is burning slightly after a couple of taste tests. Just an amateur, I only have 25 tins.

    Cheap TFG barbel rods

I have two TF Barbel rods, they are light and very impressive, built on Free Spirit blanks, I have had them for about 4 years, I do alternate them with my Harrison Avon's, I have not had a single problem with them, they handle large fish in fast water without any problems.

    mortimer & whitehouse gone fishing

Hi Guys I was with Bob and Paul when they were fishing at Throop. It's not really a full on fishing programme but two guys that had some trauma in their lives, I was not sure about the first program, but I liked the other two, great banter and the pair of them should now be life long friends

    3 piece barbel rod

The four piece Harrison Avon 11ft is a great rod for travelling, once you arrive at your destination it can be assembled and broken down into two pieces that fit nicely into a sling. This rod is in a nice matt black colour, its a bit stiffer than the two piece Avon due to four sections.
