One of the bonuses of the stretch is a large part of it is on the outside of the bend, so the flow and depth of water is on that side, rather than Pixham's opposite. It' a pity they lost the middle bit, and the bottom end doesn't really get fished.

Were you using Kranks on your previous rigs Michael? The curved shank of the Krank is already giving you an aggressive hook shape, even tied with a normal knotless knot. If you're not comfortable with the kd rig, you could always add a kicker/rig aligner to your normal knotless knot to improve...

These tri lobe weights are becoming popular on the Trent too, good on snaggy swims because with their shape they rise quickly off the bottom and snag less apparently.
