    Photos of river scenes

One of them Mike . I have quite a bit of ‘ water’ to explore within about a 30 mile radius of home . A bit of everything really . Sea,river, pond, mere etc . Plus, any number of species to target as well . I just need the time really . I never seem to stop these days. David

New member going on an adventure to the river Severn.

Hi Michael . I am no expert at all on BAA waters , but last year I bought a BAA ticket as I was spending a week in the area . One stretch that I fished was below Bewdley at Blackstone Rock . You can drive the stretch and park more or less behind your peg . It seemed easy access to me and I am...

    Free to good home

As far as I can tell its a bit limited to either the Witham, for general course fishing or the Trent for Barbel, both are within about 30 miles. I will miss the Yorkshire and Lancs rivers tbh, but there are lots of stillwaters around which will take up a bit of time. I really dont think I...

    Free to good home

👍 Many thanks, we moved to South Willingham in August last year , its a lot different to where we were previously , a much gentler countryside.. We used to live up very near the Pennine Way on the Moors. Its a bit cold here, but back there they still have about a foot of snow 🥶🥶 David

    Free to good home

Hi Kevin, just noticed Clives message, if he has a suitable back plate for your spool it would be a good fix for you , maybe you could still allow me to have the broken back plate with its bits still intact ? Regards David .

    Korda Vid

The Korda link will not allow access to view. On another note, that carp , whilst being very big , is plug ugly, if it were human it would be grossly obese. David

    A Christmas Puzzle

That what I have been doing for a few seasons now Graham . I have more than enough tackle , could probably equip a small army at a pinch . And even then I bet I only use the same 4 coarse rods for most of the time anyway , same with reels etc .I have a Kelly, used it lots in the past ten years...

    New korum ruckchair

Yet another Korum must have that IMO is badly thought out, impractical on several levels, and will probably be discontinued soon as already said. David

Wanted: Fox Barbel Duo Floodwater 2.75lb ARD008

I think the Fox floodwater duos were quite sought after a few years ago Tom, and even now they do not seem to appear much as a good second hand rod. Good luck in your search . I have a pair and love them to bits. David

    Weight

I had a similar experience years ago when fishing the Ribble. Yomped a half mile and discovered I had left feeders and sinkers at home. Neccesity being the mother of invention caused me to have a search around in a patch of washed up branches and detritus etc that had been deposited after a...

What is the ultimate setup for a long walk?

Ok, now we have all laughed at the portapotty, here is soomething that I made earlier this year . Basically it is a waterproof cushion with a strap and clip that goes around my midriff. If I take a bigger bag for a yomp down the riverside , the bag goes over my shoulders and rests on the...

    Winter is coming

I cannot remember where I read it but the Aldi is a carbon copy of a “ branded “ bibn brace / jacket set costing something like four times as much .Probably made in the same factory but with different labels . I have used an Aldi set for the past 4 years and it is waterproof , warm and still...
