Quite a lot of time on the wye i use big feeders filled with 6mm or 8mm pellets and some times i even use mole hill soil just to add weight and colour to the feeder and it seems to be working a treat . If it aint broke dont fix it .

Just been down to my local aldis and the stuff is flying off the shelves , bought myself a few t shirts , trousers , head torch , bollies, etc well worth the money and all seems quite robust , the strawberry bollies smell lovely even the tench wont be able to resist hopefully .

We had an opening night session on the wye we had a few fish but the best fish my nephew caught when i was resting my eyes lol. Its his 1st ever barbel we and he were well chuffed .

How long do the hang about in the tackle shop etc , i have used pellets years old and never had a problem , even the ones that go slightly crumbly they just end up as loose feed .

Surely thats even better , you can cut them into various sizes , not to sure if the metal would stick out to much after cutting them but a bit of gaffer tape or even melting the ends may solve the problem . Ps cracking idea thanks for the tip Haydn .
