Thanks Tim.
Yes, those sun protection hoody tops are brilliant. They have a built in snood which pulls up under your eyes and over your ears and neck, and also a hood to cover the top of your head.
I got them from Temu and they vary in price from 6 to 15 or so quid.
The price will drop if you...
My own personal guess would be that they just weren't bought in the same numbers as "the purists" etc.
Aesthetically, I don't think they are as appealing to as many people as the aerial reels made by Youngs, and also the lack of ventelation holes in the front plate won't allow you to place a...
Thanks HZ, yes, winding in in that fashion is probably a classic techique.
Thanks for the critique Richard, to be honest I knew the video may be boring.
I did cut out a lot of the explaining about what I was doing and even a lot of the tiddly fish I was catching, it was a rubbish session as I...
I know its a mess and to make it worse still I caught bugger all, but it was a first attempt at making a video with a form of editing, not good I know lol.
How did you manage to try retrieving the line in the house HZ?
It would prolly work better if you were actually fishing lol.
Ok, I had a go at making a fishing video, blimey, what a faff trying to edit it!
It's very amater I know, but hopefully I can improve if I make any more.
Here's a link to it for anyone who might be interested.

They were spawning a few weeks back so they are prolly taking advantage of the low water and higher temp's.
Clive, you could look at getting some floats with interchangable sight tips. You can paint one black.....etc etc and have them in your pocket so you can swap them as and when you fancy.
If you check out my vid on youtube I show some of the floats sold on here. I can vouch for the floats, they...
Nash scope rods are great. I have a 10footer in 2.25lb and its ideal for that and numerous other purposes.
I have a pair of fox explorer TI 8ft to 10ft rods in 3lb test, lovely rods but i've still not used them.
Thanks Jim 👍.
Yes, I agree Richard 👍.
After saying that, I usually leave all the sight tip showing on the river, even on large floats like your ones. On flowing water there are other contributing factors which allow me to do that and still have very positive bite registration.
Thanks for those nice words Alan, appreciated.
I watched the vid back and to be honest, I know could have done a lot better. I missed out things about the better floats for fast choppy water etc, "which is the wire stemmed", and how they don't flatten out (lay flat on the surface) so easily as...
