Have suffered from this for years, however last year I found the secret (for me anyway). One a day hayfever tablets from Tesco (Loratadine not Ceterizine) coupled with Becanase nasal spray in the morning and at night, and if at night you still suffer take a Nytol!
Its worked for me last year...
I agree with Clive and Chris, you wont be disappointed.
They are fantastic and it really is a great price! Even cheaper now I see with 2 new colours - that pink one really is fetching....

I picked up a couple of pairs of Greys GRX breathable waders on ebay not too long ago for about £75 each, not sure what they're like price wise now but they're fantastic waders. Durable and I wouldnt be without them for my fluff chucking and winter barbeling! Might be worth a look...

I've been told in the past that before putting the ferrule together wipe your finger behind your ear, on forehead, or along side of nose then apply to the male ferrule. I think this relies on a greasy face though ;)

I think I'm right in saying that female barbel are much bigger than the males. I think its rare to find males over 6 or 7lb, meaning all the doubles are females. Therefore, females must be longer.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I've used blanks from both, but own an Agutters 7' 4 weight fly rod that I built myself quite a few years ago.
I really love the rod - as it was my first self-build cane rod, but have since used better rods. I'd say the price is a good guide as to the quality because the Chapman 6'6 4wt I've...
I have both narrow and wide drum speedias, they are superb reels. Fairly cheap and out spin most of the expensive allcocks etc (not that spinning really makes much difference) plus I think they look great.
A proper boys reel! A la Crabtree!
BUY IT!

Can only echo everyone else on line weights...
I used to have a sportfish package that was very nice (and cheap) until I snapped the tip in my car boot! I dont think they do the rods anymore though...
I also own a 'Sumo XS' that I got for pike fishing on ebay for about 20quid, its a really...
Hi Kev,
Truro is an area I know very well, been there every year of my life and have enjoyed some great fishing.
As for mullet, you'll find them in big numbers all around the Fal estuary - catching them is another thing though! I find bread to be the best bait whether on the surface, mid...
Trevor,
I wouldnt worry too much about the ring being closer, unless the tip is extremely bendy it shouldnt effect the action too much and as long as the line is not touching the blank I'd say it will be fine....
If you do need a new tip ring, I can vouch for these fellas for good service...
Great post,
I love float fishing but I'm my own worst enemy for sitting and waiting rather than getting them on the feed with a float. Something that next season has got to change! Thanks for the inspiration.

So,
Its finally upon us again, some people dread it, some like it...
Are you stopping fishing all together, maybe to concentrate on family, targetting lakes/canals etc...?
Personally I'm looking forward to the trout season and maybe getting out on a few lakes for a bit of carp stalking when...
In all fairness I only had a few days while down in Cornwall to have a go with it, maybe it was a confidence thing, but the real stuff seemed to be a lot better for hook ups!
