They don't pull back nearly so hard when you are not trying to pull their heads off,it's almost like a dog on the lead and by keeping the rod low(they really don't like being pulled up in the water)you can guide them.I realise this isn't always possible due to underwater snags and bankside...

Straight away and don't go back to them!!!!Just my feeling that the high oil pellets are detrimental to fish health in the long term and there are so many excellent alternatives out there

I have a feeling that if you saw what was going on by underwater camera it might just do your head in!!!Similar to carp fishing with floaters where you get numerous abortive takes,I have a feeling that is repeated just as often with a bait on the river/lake bed esp on pressured waters
