Looking to change my car ..... Any advice on what to buy ?

I had a Freelander HST for several years and would give it thumbs up. 19" Tyres were expensive 30 - 35 mpg in the real world ,sold mine at 130000miles for £5900 everything still worked. For ultimate traction a lot will depends on what tyres you fit to the 4 x 4, road tyres wont help the cause.

    River Wye dogs allowed

Saw a fella with a lovely white retriever sitting next to him when fishing at White Lion at Wilton Bridge , Ross. Def worth a look as owner of the Inn was fisherman , others will clarify I am sure. His dog hardly moved whilst my two hounds were having a real good splash on opposite bank.

    Pellet feeder

Try... Roll your meat in fine crumb before putting into feeder , Crumb soon disapears and leaves meat room to wash out. Just dont ram it in ! I used to push meat through a riddle and then mix with crumb , worked well.

Advice on fishing a rising river, bringing down weed, leaves etc

Hi Dave I have a problem with this theory as when you reel in on a river carrying extra water and debris invariable the line swings around and your last piece of line comes out from downstream, thus sweeping any debris down the line to the stop, Whilst fishing upstream debris surely is washed...

    Lost the mojo...

IMO Howard has hit the nail on the head with that "purpose" being what we surely all crave and as such without it fear a otherwise aimless existence. Just have to satisfy oneself with a new type of personalised purpose. Getting a bit deep now !:o

How to Avoid Losing Feeders ?

I am used to losing my share of tackle. If you loose the hooklink then clearly it is the hook that has snagged not feeder. So perhaps shorten hooklink or somehow stop it wafting/moving, bait change... Above info all works for sure but best solution is make your own feeders. Literally can be...

"make sure you don't crush either end of the crimps". Why would that be ,does it weaken the wire ?

    Loading braid on a multiplier

Get a "thingy" to take twist out of the braid, use a few times before each session. Get another "thingy" to slide down the line if you get snagged on a river, changes angle of pull, works remarkable well. Sure others can confirm name of items.
