Yes Joe he is good at catching Carp. Let's hope he sticks with that. As for him turning his attention to Barbel. He should do well, with the amount of free bait thrown at him. Fishing water, most of us can only dream of.

I saw Paul Whitehouse using a slider rig for Bream in Ireland. Float fishing for Carp as well as floating crust. Ali would've been using bait boats, canoes and definitely alarms not forgetting the camo's...
I went to Clifton Hampden today. All swims occupied. As I looked along the six or so swims. There was a bivvy with a TV ariel on top. I had to look twice, I wish I'd taken a photo. Didn't have the heart to tell them The Gunners were on BT 😂. COYG!
I carry a couple of tins of mackerel or sardines too. Usually end up with tomato sauce down my front.
Whenever I fish at Bridgenorth, I'm into Aldi raiding the nearly out of date shelf.
Do any of these recommendations actually keep your feet warm if you're static. No matter what I've tried, always have to go for a walk to warm my feet. Especially toes.
