I've only ever fished the trent at collingham. I'm in northants, most of their waters was about 1hr away and that ticket looked like it had some nice water and with the option of night fishing the trent too. I'll have a look at the other and weigh it all up. Thanks for your reply

Just out of curiosity then say they is this massive barbel in the Thames. Do you have to give an exact location then where it was caught then. If not what's the issue with claiming the record.

Well I got my 1st barbel had a great 3 days fishing. I was absolutely shattered when i got back and on Saturday morning every muscle in my body was aching. But I had a great time loads of banter and belly laughing. Plus I lost barbel virginity.

I know there is mixed feelings on colingham weir. But I'm off there at the start of September. I've been invited along foc. Rude not to turn it down. I'm fishing 5 or 6 apparently. I've not managed to secure my 1st barbel locally so hopefully I'll get one on this trip.
