Got 2 pairs of heat holders for 10 bucks from millets today.

Fished the Thames twice a week since June, several different swims and only had one Barbel to show for all my efforts.

Had a bag of 21mm high energy marine halibut pellets sat gathering dust in my bait cupboard and thought I'd use them over the next few weeks. They are very oily so I was wondering if anyone had a rough idea at what water temp these pellets become ineffective?

Meat pies at Ibrox used to be the best ever. And the chicken balti at Sunderlands ground weren't bad either.

Because of the amount of problems I have with rowers on the Thames I have been thinking of going down the buzzers/low rod tip carp style approach as well. But I have always liked to see the rod tip bounce away on a take and always thought that letting the rod take the cushion of a Barbel hit...

Had a few out of the Thames using Caviar and Cranberry so I know they like a fruity flavour in there.

Felindre is your best bet for Shimano servicing etc.

Mine lasted a year before both inners recently went at the heel. I still use them but have to be careful how far I walk in them.

My 2 most successful baits are Caviar & Cranberry and Spicy Lobster and quite often have one on each rod.

Had a peanut stuck in my ear once. Covered it in chocolate and it came out a Treat.............:D

Also had some nice fish out using spicy lobster from carp company.

Seconded ;) Have some squid, GLM and cranberry from carp company as well.

XTEA 6000's for the Thames, 5000 RE's for smaller rivers.
