If we believe the figure that ther are over 2 million coarse anglers in England and Wales, the fact that it has taken this long to muster a mere 10,000 signatories speaks volumes, particularly to the non-angling fraternity.

To reiterate Neil's point, which for the vast majority on here will seem obvious but is often not done by the YouTube generation: rest the fish as soon as you have netted it. I think this initial lack of care probably leads to more belly-up fish than any other.

You'll probably have more light than you think. Add to this that you are likely to be casting much shorter distances, possibly to features on your own bank of the river. If you're familiar with the swims, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Chances are, you'll also have the pick of the swims...
