As I go through blank spells (Fairly regularly I'm afraid!!) I always tell myself that each blank session is getting me closer to the next red letter fish as opposed to further away from the last one....

Thanks for that but my little project is different to yours in that I won't be re-using the blank that the handle is currently on afterwards....
....I want to make up a short stalker from the pieces of 2 separate rods in the roof of my garage. The butt section is one that floated up...

Will watch this one with anticipation....I fancy knocking up a stalker using the top section of a 12 footer with a handle attached but have no idea how to remove the handle from the bottom section and was going to ask the forum for ideas....

Not sure I'd do it on a small river in these conditions, however....
....have seen this "method" used to good effect on a big river in the past - simply because it was different to everyone elses approach?

I always add salt to my base mixes for boilies/pastes and for that matter to my hempseed too....
....is there much difference between rock/road salt and table salt??
and perhaps more importantly, will a fish be able to detect it??
