Agreed Ade but, I think the anglers will have to go to the fish, and not expect the fish to come to them. IMO until efforts are made to fish more than just the regular haunts its unlikely to happen too soon. Unless you know the location of a fish thats already knocking on the records door ;)...
Me too Jon, since your last post many months ago about these (Belated thanks ;) )I was using Korda wide gapes - these are sharper (and cheaper)
His trebles are ok too - not in an Owner class, but more than adequate for my needs. (i.e I've not yet cursed the hook for a lost fish :D)
Mark There is one issue these little beauties suffer and thats a failure of the anti reverse. Appears to be quite common.
Quotes from a.n.other web site
"The ss anti reverse are finicky . My oldest ss2600 is in service about 12 years and every now and then the anti reverse stops working...
Will this coolbox method work for Maize as well ? I'm planning on using the stuff in quite large quantities very soon, so the 'saucepan' alternative isn't really practical.
I'll pass on the ready prepared stuff, even NSA (20kg £13.99 of which 10kg must be absorbed water )
I'm...
:D
As I read that Neil I could see the look on your face
I'm guilty of having fished a few of the pools your way during close seasons gone by, but 2007 saw the end of that. (They always fished better in the depths of winter anyway ;) )
BUT
life dosen't have to be this way. There still...
They don't do they - seems the two species live quite happily side by side munching on each other :D (Its now over 20 yrs since my first Zed came out of the 7rn) I've not noticed any decline in the fishing for whatever species (silver or other) targetted - river or canal.
The only difference...
I'm sorted thanks Hugh.
Tom - Arrived safely cheers. I'll be modifying them this week and will have a donation away as agreed. Thanks again for your help. :)
And for those wondering what I'm doing - well, I've been trying to find a cheap bite indicator suitable for my stillwater Zander...
I'm after two redundant, any colour, swingers. I'll take one's with broken heads/gate latches (Those are bits I don't need.)
Fox copies would be okay too. As long as the needle arm,. sliding weight, and bankstick attachment bits are working and in good nick (a straight wire is a must though)...
Nice one Neil - There's nothing better than a river Pike.
I'm impressed with your choice of photographer too - She managed to get the whole of the landing net in the shot. :D
Well said
We've all got to watch the pennies but usually (although not always) - Buying cheap means buying twice ;) (Upgrading I think we anglers like to call it :D otherwise known as I bought the wrong thing in the first place)
