Nick - We've all now got the visual of the 100kg of boilies and 400kg of hemp/PC being fastidiously introduced to your favourite swims, on the syndi, over the next few months. ;)
You say you'll stop feeding 10 days prior to the 16th. I'm interested to know - When would you expect to start...
I most certainly wouldn't be trying this trick down at BM Neil - The stock of Barbel just ain't there for catching improvement. IMO but you could fill ya boots with Bream
Nick - I'm struggling to see that pre-baiting with boilie in the amounts you speak of, is having that great an effect on your catches. That'll come as a shock to some who reacted unfavourably to your first posts. I'd even go as far to say that you may well have caught 3 dubs without the...
No, but then it wasn't as prolonged as your planned campaign.
I'll not say it won't produce fish Nick, but IMO it may not be as selective or as effective as you might hope.
The river has a whole load of other species that will delight in being fed regularly. The huge head of very nomadic...
I'm refusing to give up just yet !
A few more weeks left stillwater Zedding I think
They are starting to change colour now (Hormones?) . Blue iridescence has gone from the fins, which are now white with red roots. Body colour has some 'blackness' to it. They are still stunning lookers though.
Another thought on prebait - You'll save on cost by making your own, and really save on time by not making little spheres. Just roll the mix out on the table, cut to chunks with a knife and boil. The fish won't care what shape it is and it's more likely to stay put in a river this way.
I think most Carp anglers would prefer to grind/chop up a few of their baits for any PVA bag or stick mix wouldn't they? Same if you were spodding out. Strikes me as a good idea for Dynamite to shift some waste, but unlikely to take off long term. Quite simply, why have yet another bag of baits...
I think I'd rather go with a full boilie for prebaiting. The dynamite chops look 'too chopped' to be of great prebaiting value IMO
Full boilies, are available for £4.75/kg delivered
