Do you use barbless hooks so the eel can do this Dean?
Can an Eel rid itself of a barbed hook?
Is there any need for a barbed hook ?
Clearly I'm thinking hooks for specimen eels here.
I'm a Digital owner myself however they, (RH's) took a while to get used to. Trying to hold a decent weight steady for them to register proved difficult at times and didn't inspire confidence, so finally I resorted to one of these........
In fact I think hanging scales is vital for accuracy...
Even if they are 'staged' there's no denying that these birds are coming inland in numbers. On the Lower Severn I can almost guarantee to see at least one every visit, as I did today. They’re only here for one thing :(
