Well my new elips arrived Friday. First trip this afternoon and I had to wait all of 10 minutes for the centre pin to scream as a feisty 7lb er picked them up :)
Steve,
Many thanks for actually making the effort to sign up to this forum and posting a reply to quash rumours. It's been a while since I have praised an official from CAC but you are a credit to the club.
Thanks again.
Thanks for the update on phone Tim.
I am not permitted to access the CAC forums as the committee took that from me. Has anything been said on forums regarding this?
I do know that this thread is being watched by certain committee members so I ask them now to contact me please and let me know...

It was stated by the chairman (whom I believe is 'standing down' yet again) at the general meeting back in January that what the club paid for Somerley equalled the total of the leases of all the other waters put together.
You would have expected that not paying out...

Never looked back Dave. I love Ringwood, especially the 'forty niner'
I can walk to the Avon from home. Still working and will continue to do for many years yet.
I made the move 12 years ago..........
You know it makes sense
:)
Keith,
I rejoined in December hoping that I will have 12 months fishing on Somerley.
With the club paying for Somerley month by month that remains to be seen.
Lets hope so.
All the best.
John.
Exactly, If they only lose 300 members I reckon there in the s***. I reckon they are more likely to lose 500+ members.
It has been mentioned that the rent on Somerley costs as much as all their other waters put together. I doubt if their basic adult membership will drop from £160 to £80 will...
A mate of mine had 2 fish off the Hants Avon first trip using them. Bit too sweet for my liking but could be good as a short term bait, may "blow' early.
