Well done paul! that sounds like an excellent trip!, there are a few getting caught down here in kent now but nowhere the numbers you are getting! bait wise cuttle seems to be the one at the moment, but the big old black lug/squid combination will always give you a good chance of nabbing one...
That sausage sizzle was an excellent flavouring! probably still is! i dont know why i stopped using it, funny how things just go out of your armoury for no particu:):)lar reason!
I think you are spot on chris,i contacted netto earlier in the and they said that they had no more in stock, and spam said that they were not making it any more so somebody must have found a few rogue cases!.:D:D
Jeff i think its probably a one off as i contacted spam earlier this year and they said they were not making it any more! mind you i was told there was none left in any supermarket in the uk so what do i know!
I had a similair thing earlier on in the season, having never had a hook pull from a barbel before[ not counting weeded fish] i had two consecutive hook pulss one with a drennan super specialist and the other with a raptor! I was very puzzled and could only summise that the fish were either...
And i thought i was the only person who used the stuff!!! Netto in strood has run out completely! I bet there are some strange looks in the netto stock department at the speed the stuff is flying off the shelves! hope they dont think it must be good to eat and try a garlic spam fritter!:D
Well my boat trip was blown off! fished dungeness beach instead, it was blowing 29 mph wsw, only had small whiting but saw one chap get two bass, no cod caught, but there was large amounts of shellfish being washed up, also found a live lugworm that had been washed out of the wormbeds it was...
Ooh the cod are coming!! off to dungeness next week for a boat trip to see if any have arrived yet! it was a good season last year and the one before down here in kent, and i am hoping for a few more this year off the beach and the boats!!:D:D:D
£50 EACH! that would be the day mate, i am hanging on to them like dear life, fantastic rods, but if you feel that you have too many i will give you £50 for yours!:D:D
What a load of rubbish! 8/8 and i didnt even read the questions after the " lets save the cuddly otters one!" shows why our waterways are in such a state, and why polluters get away with so much!
