I use basspro excell clear, never had any problems with it very tough line.

Smooth water for me as well, regardless of the pace of flow. The only place in flood i would readilly ignore is back flowing eddies, for some reason i have never had so much as a pull from one of these areas.

Hampshire avon fish for me too, but all superb fish!!

Yes paul, the ones that are being caught are of a good size, mainly on live whiting! i cant get down there at the moment as i am snowed in!!!!:(:(

Mine was june 21st on the royalty, using a new rod,first fish a 12lb barbel followed by a 6.15 chub! a further six barbel followed but not all on the new rod! HAPPY DAYS!!! :D:D:D:D

Well got out afloat on the 25th but it was a bitter dissapointment! only one cod on the boat between the five of us! two other boats out, one had no cod the other had 6! the cod have not arrived down here in kent yet! hopefully a few big blows will bring them in because the trawlers are getting...
