Do any anglers use a hook link with a loop at say 3ft. Then attach a hook link with the hook on the long hook link loop to loop.?

Morning Gents, I have a Korum River Brolly which is excellent but a tad heavy. I am looking for a lightweight quiver that will take the Brolly plus one or two rodrests. Can anyone advise from experience please. While I am here, a lightweight rucksack is needed as well.

Some time back there were a few articles in the comics regarding sex hormones that were getting into our rivers and then being taken up by its inhabitants. In this case Barbel. Considering the poor spawning and lack of juvenile fish, is there still a case for screening hormones at the sewage...
